Palestinian protesters cover their faces from tear gas fired by Israeli security forces during clashes following a protest against Israel's military action and violence in the Gaza strip, at Hawarah checkpoint near the West Bank City of Nablus July 22, 2014. A series of Israeli air strikes early killed seven people in Gaza, including five members of the same family, an emergency services spokesman said. The deaths hike the total Palestinian toll to 583 since the Israeli military launched Operation Protective Edge on July 8 in a bid to stamp out rocket fire from Gaza. Photo by Nedal Eshtayah
