Palestinian high school students take part in a military-styled exercise routine at a course conducted by the Hamas-run ministry of education, in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip January 9, 2014. Male students would learn how to climb down buildings on ropes, run through obstacle courses and crawl under barbed wire in a one-hour mandatory session every week. Older students would also learn how to use light weapons, while younger ones practice with wooden mock rifles. Photo by Ashraf Amra
