Palestinian activist Bassem Tamimi with his relatives at a hospital in Ramallah on April 25, 2012, after a military court released him on bail on April 24, ahead of the verdict in his trial on charges of organising popular protests. Tamimi was arrested on March 24, 2011 and accused of organising illegal demonstrations and incitement to stone-throwing in connection with a series of weekly demonstrations in the West Bank village of Nabi Saleh in protest at Jewish settlers taking over their land.
