Israeli riot and undercover policemen arrest a Palestinian protester during clashes in the east Jerusalem Arab neighborhood of Issawiya on May 15, 2011 while heavy clashes broke out near Ramallah in the West Bank when youths clashed with Israeli troops as Palestinians mourned the 63rd "nakba" anniversary of Israel's creation. More than 760,000 Palestinians -- estimated today to number 4.7 million with their descendants -- were pushed into exile or driven out of their homes in the conflict that followed Israel's creation in 1948.
